Mussels with Sumiso Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup shiro miso
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons sake
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons hot English mustard

Instructions
 

  • Preheat broiler or grill.
  • Whisk all sauce ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring.  Remove from heat, and spoon over mussels.
  • Place mussels on broiler pan.  Broil until slightly brown and surface is drying out, a few minutes.  Serve hot.
