Sometimes I get crafty. Marbled mason jars for all the alternative flours and starches in the house. Amateurish splotches here and there. First try, I just dumped some red and some white into a jar and swirled it through. There was some marbling that happened but not like I was hoping, mostly due to the fact that the red paint was much thicker than the white, and I needed more homogeneity for the paint to flow smoother and cover things more evenly. So the next batch I did I mixed the paint in one jar, just enough for the two colors to blend into a uniform thickness.
I have these lined with ziploc bags so the starches and grains don’t touch the paint. Fun and simple and pretty.
