What does Paul mean when he said “God can use our weakness best of all”?
Explain how Stephen “died to his own will”.
Little ones can color the black-and-white pictures in the book — and make their own “book” of St. Paul the Apostle.

When you pray tonight, think about this sentence from Chapter 13:
“For they would enter upon the work not realizing that souls are won for Christ only by suffering.”

For discussion with older kids: How does suffering help us bring souls to Christ?
What does suffering mean for our own souls?
What does “Old Law” mean? What is the “New Law”?

For high school and up: Read CCC 1508, 798, 618, 2 Cor 12:9, 28, 30. What does “redemptive suffering” mean? What is the “love feast” (p. 71)?

For discussion: What is prudence? How do we apply prudence in our daily actions/decisions? Give examples.
Explain why Paul and Peter decided to separate.
An exercise for Latin students: go through the previous vocabulary exercises and pick out the ones that are derivatives of Latin words.

Consider: Do you think God will ever ask too much of you? If you feel God’s asking too much of you, what should you do?

Trace Paul’s travels, labeling important places, especially the ones on your vocabulary list.

A note: You will find that certain words are repeated in some of the vocabulary exercises. I do this to reinforce my kids’ learning.
