We don’t see any now. Maybe they’re in their cocoons.

Hi Stephanie! Christian and I just “raised” one of these caterpillars. We found it at Eric’s sister’s and took it home in a plastic container. It is a Forest Tent Caterpillar, although this particular species doesn’t actually make a tent with it’s brothers and sisters. It’s quite beautiful close up, isn’t it? Ours ate oak leaves and rejected our black maple leaves. When it formed the chrysalis, it chose to attatch to the underside of the leaf, as opposed to hanging from the provided twig.
