I am beyond excited. I am jumping up and down and can’t keep still!!! My fellow homeschooling moms have started their own food blogs and I just can’t contain myself. This is a day I’ve been praying for for the longest time. These are the gals who have through the years, taught me, and in the process, taught my kids, about life, learning and God. I haven’t met many of them in person, but I see them as the sisters I never had growing up. It’s an understatement to say I respect and admire these ladies, and I hope you’ll visit their blogs and see what they have to say about food, among other things. I can almost guarantee they will bless your lives, as they have mine.

Amen for that. I might home school my daughter for real. My husband wants me to homeschool my daughter for preschooler but I’m not sure about k-12. Now that all of moms are doing it. Mine as well do it too. Sounds fun. kids who are homeschooled are a lot nicer and polite. I’ve seen a kids like that.
Thank you for sharing it.
Noemi,
Not all homeschooled kids grow up to be “a lot nicer and polite.” That would largely depend on the modeling that adults at home offer them. There a homeschooled kids who are very afraid of people and are not well-adjusted socially. There is a good side and a bad side to an issue (advantages and disadvantages). Thank you.
I look forward to visiting more blogs as my list gets longer and longer!
hi sha and mia, i know what you mean about bloghopping. there are so many great ones! so little time!
jenn, you’re very welcome:D
noemi, if you ever need a support group, let me know. there’s so much out there and so many generous people sharing their time and knowledge.
anonymous, while there are “advantages and disadvantages” to everything, i am happy to say that most of the disadvantages i’ve found with homeschooling is of the external kind — i.e., 3rd parties claiming to know what’s best for my child. other than that i don’t really see much that would harm the 1.2 million (and so far) homeschooling kids across the nation. i believe that most parents, homeschooling or not, have their children’s best interests at heart. unconditional love is the prerequisite in any home, regardless of educational choices. when you have that pretty much everything falls into place — so if it’s true in homes where kids go to public and private school, it’s true in homeschooling families as well. as far as the socialization issue, i appreciate your concern. just don’t forget that there are kids who are “not well-adjusted socially” as well everywhere you go, public and private schools alike. it’s not an exclusive problem for homeschoolers:). fellow homeschooling mom lissa says it best here.
Wonderful new look!
Stef, Thank you for mentioning my new food blog. I am really enjoying your allergy free site. I have to pay closer attention to the wheat and dairy intolerance that my nursing daughter has. It has been such a struggle for me to stick to the diet though. I need some more willpower!
I will definitely visit their blogs, Stef.
