ARGH. Lacanche raising prices after September 30. Should I get my Cluny now???? bummer. i’m sure it’s prudent to wait until at least the house is being built.
Saw Whipple’s ad today. Mat’ls for a 36’x28′ house is approx $13K. So should I assume a 3K sqft house, just the shell, should be approx $39K? obviously with labor costs, etc. it shouldn’t be more than $100K, should it?
also saw other options for windows besides Pella and Andersen (Pollard). + info on roofing, garages $3K for a 2 car, materials only).
but, the find of the day? Cabinets4Less. found that link through Marsh Cabinet Dealer, which offers lots of options for cabinets, at a discount, even from the already discounted APM Direct. I am SO excited!!! LOVE the frameless Shaker Maple. But frameless cabs are double the price of framed. ugh. will have to calculate after the kitchen is completely planned. also need to compare prices with Home Depot and local cabinet makers + the builder himself.
Ooh yeah, and great news: someone might be renting the house at Cincy for the price we want. Might be a good idea to keep that house as rental property if it’s going to pay for itself, plus build our equity in the process. Thanks Lord.
